Thunderhead Wins Nation’s Largest Consumer Credit Counseling Service – Money Management International

MMI Selects Standards-Based Platform to Support Multi-Lingual and Multi-Channel Customer Communications

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Thunderhead, recognized innovators in document automation and multi-channel communications solutions, today announced that its platform was selected by Money Management International (MMI) to power sophisticated customer correspondence for MMI’s family of Consumer Credit Counseling Service (CCCS) agencies.

The largest nonprofit, full-service credit-counseling agency in the US, MMI selected the Thunderhead NOW platform due to its standards-based open architecture, business user-centric design and flexible support for both print and multi-channel, electronic output.

Houston, Texas-based MMI has provided over 600,000 consumers annually with professional financial guidance, including credit and bankruptcy counseling, debt management assistance and other educational services. The company sought to replace a homegrown application with a more scalable, flexible solution that would integrate rapidly with its customized core systems, support the corporation’s growth and enhance customer loyalty.

According to Darren Schumaker, MMI director of applications and information technology, the Thunderhead NOW platform will enable the company to improve the quality and professionalism of its communications with current and prospective customers across multiple languages and various media, such as the Web, email, fax and traditional print mail. “Thunderhead’s superior technology, broad functionality and reliable support team made the solution an easy choice for us, and we look forward to completing the implementation,” he said. “Thunderhead went the extra mile to earn our business.”

Following implementation, Thunderhead NOW will further enable MMI to ensure legal and regulatory compliance, content accuracy and overall conformity with MMI’s corporate brand. MMI will also be integrating Thunderhead NOW with its IBM FileNet Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software, which means that all consumer correspondence can be automatically archived for record-keeping and fast retrieval by customer support.
