TheraGenetics Appoints Scientific Advisory Board of CNS Experts

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. & LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TheraGenetics Limited, a personalized medicine diagnostics company that is developing and commercializing a portfolio of pharmacogenetic diagnostic tests to guide and improve the treatment of central nervous system (CNS) disorders, announced today the appointment of its new Scientific Advisory Board (SAB). The SAB will serve as a strategic asset to the company as it continues to rapidly advance the development of pharmacogenetic tests for critical CNS disorders by identifying biomarkers to determine response and side-effects to drug treatments.

The inaugural members of the SAB are four leading clinicians in the fields of psychiatry and CNS disorders from centers of excellence across the globe, including Shitij Kapur, M.B.B.S., Ph.D., Chairman of the TheraGenetics SAB and Vice Dean and Professor at the Institute of Psychiatry at King’s College London. Other members of the SAB team include Peter Jones, M.D., Ph.D., Professor and Department Head of Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge; Anil Malhotra, M.D., Director, Psychiatry Research at The Zucker Hillside Hospital, of the North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System and Associate Professor of Psychiatry at Albert Einstein College of Medicine; and Pak Sham, B.M B.CH, Ph.D., Chair Professor and Department Head of Psychiatry, LKS Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong.
