The Gas Company Names Stephanie Ackerman as VP Public Policy and Communications

HONOLULU--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Gas Company LLC, Hawaii’s largest provider of clean, reliable gas energy to government, business and consumers, has named Stephanie C. Ackerman as vice president, public policy and communications. Ackerman will direct the company’s corporate communications, public relations, government affairs, and community outreach programs.

Prior to joining The Gas Company, Ackerman was senior vice president for Aloha Airlines. During her tenure there, she held executive positions with varied responsibilities, including corporate communications, government affairs, marketing, community relations, and real property and facility management. Ackerman also served on the board of the Hawaii Fueling Facilities Corporation for 10 years, and was an active participant and member of the Air Transport Association’s public affairs, communications, and airport affairs committees. She presided as president of the Airline Committee of Hawaii from 2000-2004 and was a member of its Executive Committee from 1996-2008. A graduate of the University of Hawaii, Ackerman is an active community leader and serves on the boards of Child & Family Services and Hawaii Nature Center.
