Spiceworks to Host Inaugural "SpiceWorld" Conference for Small Business IT Professionals

AUSTIN, Texas--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Spiceworks™, Inc. today announced the final agenda for SpiceWorld 2008, the company’s inaugural conference focused on helping its community of small business IT professionals to better manage their computer networks. The in-person SpiceWorld 2008 get-together is touted as an alternative to IT events that usually feature “buttoned-up” experts, classroom-style seating, and exorbitant fees. The decidedly casual SpiceWorld conference will take place in Austin October 24-25 at the Alamo Drafthouse movie theater. It will feature Spiceworks users sharing practical information and advice about solving real-world IT issues that small businesses like them face each day. In addition, Spiceworks announced that Microsoft and CDW are sponsoring the event, along with media sponsors bMighty.com and RedMonk.

The SpiceWorld 2008 event will feature topics and areas of interest voted on by the Spiceworks community. SpiceWorld 2008 will also host an event honoring winners of the inaugural “Spicies Awards,” a competition in which the Spiceworks community of IT small business professionals vote on their favorite technology products and services.
