Winners selected in eight categories from nearly 200 entries offering new products and technology innovations

NEEDHAM, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The editors of TechTarget Inc.’s (NASDAQ: TTGT) SearchServerVirtualization.com™ today announced the winners of the Best of VMworld 2008 Awards, selected from nearly 200 product entrants at the VMworld 2008 conference being held this week at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas and sponsored by VMware, Inc. An independent team of judges consisting of experts and editors from SearchServerVirtualization.com and its sister site, SearchVMware.com™, reviewed and evaluated the products according to innovation, value, performance, reliability and ease of use.

The awards span eight categories: data protection software; security and virtualization; application and infrastructure management; hardware for virtualization; desktop virtualization; and storage software for virtualization; new technology, and best of show.

Only products currently available for purchase were considered for all categories. Products being demonstrated but not available for purchase were considered only for the New Technology category.
