CliniComp Announces Agreement with Tenet Healthcare Corporation

CliniComp’s Essentris Perinatal will initially be deployed in seven facilities

SAN DIEGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CliniComp, Intl., a leading provider of intelligent inpatient electronic medical record and clinical surveillance solutions, today announced an agreement to provide the Essentris™ Perinatal Solution to Tenet Healthcare Corporation (NYSE:THC), one of the country’s major health systems.

Dallas-based Tenet initially will deploy CliniComp’s Essentris Perinatal in the labor and delivery (L&D) units of seven of its facilities in 12 states, with additional installations planned for 2009 and 2010. Subsequently, additional Tenet facilities will replace current documentation processes in their L&D units with Essentris Perinatal.

A team from Tenet and CliniComp collaborated to configure the perinatal-specific clinical documentation application to best meet the needs of the Tenet facilities. The final, standardized solution was successfully piloted and installed at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Fla.

Essentris Perinatal enables hospitals to align documentation with best practice models and provide a methodology to maintain documentation corresponding with changes in regulation. The establishment of uniform documentation will meet standards of care practices from the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Academy of Pediatrics and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses. The solution also supports reporting requirements from the Joint Commission.
