She also held positions at The Wilkerson Group/IBM, Bayer, and Chiron, with increasing responsibilities in marketing, strategic planning, and business development.

Dr. Shen is an organizer, speaker, and chair of numerous life science business conferences on licensing, venture investing, and cross-Pacific partnering/CRO trends. She serves on the Board of Directors and chairs the Pacific Alliance & Entrepreneurship Committee of Sino-American Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Professionals Association (SABPA), the largest and most influential Chinese American life science professional organization in Southern California. She also serves on the BIOCOM Asia Task Force Steering Committee, and Athena San Diego’s Bioscience Committee. She earned her Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of Colorado, and an MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University. She also attended Peking University and Peking Union Medical College in China.
