TOKYO--()--Field System (headquartered at 601 Olympia Annex Bldg., 6-31-21 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, Japan; Representative Director: Hiroshi Suzuki) is set to offer worldwide availability of its original game, “newtonica,” developed for Apple’s iPhone and iPod touch platforms, through App Store (priced at US$4.99, or 600 yen including tax).
“newtonica” is a new game developed especially for the iPhone and iPod touch by a team of two game creators who already have a string of hits to their names. Kenichi Nishi (responsible for planning and game direction) is known for both “moon” and “Giftopia,” whereas Kenji Eno (responsible for sound) surprised and awed fans with his “D” and “Enemy Zero.”
“newtonica” was designed to take advantage of the touch-panel operations of both the iPhone and iPod touch, using simple, yet beautiful, graphics. Kenji Eno’s original game score, composed to suit that design perfectly, entices players into the game’s world. Field System has also begun work on a successor to “newtonica,” to be released later in 2008.
