CUPERTINO, Calif.--()--The unique artwork of Carrie Zeidman, previously only available to businesses, is now available to the general public.

Ms. Zeidman uses a unique style she calls Contour Topographical Painting. The art is created by painting shapes as flat color areas with ascending or descending tonal values to create depth and texture. The eye blends the colors into a smooth continuous tone. The artwork is created using a computer and printed on canvas in limited quantities as a giclée.

Carrie Zeidman is an eighth generation California native living in Northern California. Color is what brings the world to life, Zeidman explains. Ive always been inspired by the colors of California, the bright white of a snowy egret on a field of lime green grass, the intense, golden yellow of a mustard field in bloom, the rich, juicy orange of California poppies. Ive never felt a lack of inspirational subject matter.

Zeidman started her career as a graphic designer and illustrator. She built a solid reputation designing printed materials, corporate logos, and websites. After a successful 20+ years running her own graphic design company, Elan Studios, she has turned her attention to creating her own fine art.

Zeidmans favorite subject is people. She enjoys capturing the personalities of her subjects and making them come to life. She strives to incorporate dichotomy into her paintings; studying the way that opposites affect each other within the piece and within the viewer. It can be conflicting emotions or simply opposing colors. She often incorporates small details that may not be noticed right away, but appear as small surprises later on. Look carefully at her paintings; you may see something you didnt notice before.

Over the years Zeidman has won numerous awards for her design work, and since she began creating her own artwork she has continued to receive awards. Her work can be seen this Saturday, June 21 at the Mid-Summer Art Celebration at the Triton Museum, 1505 Warburton Ave., Santa Clara, CA.

Artwork can be purchased from her website at www.CarrieZeidman.com, at the Stone Griffin Gallery, 416 E. Campbell Ave. in Campbell, California, and at exclusive shops and salons around the San Francisco Bay Area. Custom portraits and requests are also available.
