Cape Coral, Florida, Adopts New Streaming Government Video Technology From SIRE Technologies

SALT LAKE CITY--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cape Coral City, FL, announced today it has gone live with the city’s new streaming video software to improve open government and the service to its citizens. The City serves over 170,000 citizens, with 2000 employees in 13 departments.

The City was already using SIRE Document Management and Agenda Plus components for document storage, workflow routing and agenda automation. After seeing the possibilities of the streaming video component, they decided to switch from their existing vendor to SIRE for a completely integrated solution.

Speaking of the public, changing providers was a seamless switch. The City staged an internal soft rollout of the new system to make sure everything was working before going live with the March 17, 2008, meeting.
