Vance Publishing Names Thomas Denison VP of eMedia
LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vance Publishing Corp., has named Thomas S. Denison to the new position of Vice President, eMedia. An executive with over twenty years experience in both digital and print business-to-business development, Denison will oversee Vance’s rapidly expanding eMedia operations.
Vance Publishing President Peggy Walker reported that the creation of the executive position was a reflection of the increasing importance eMedia plays in the company’s strategic plan. “With Tom’s expertise in all aspects of digital media – from marketing to data development to software to hardware – Vance is going to significantly increase its footprint in that world,” Walker said.
“Vance has 50 to 60 sites, either in conjunction with its print media or as stand-alones,” Denison noted. “A large part of my mission here is to increase revenue across those web sites by capturing the traffic, ad dollars, and eyes that have moved from the printed pages to the web. We will be introducing new products and enhancing existing services to keep our sites content-rich and technologically current.” Noting the popularity of social networking, Denison said, “We have very specific target audiences, and they have demonstrated an increasing appetite for online information and communication. We plan on leveraging that interest by creating more social networks within our own customer groupings, and also by ‘joining the conversation’ at existing online communities.”
