MediCorp Health System of Fredericksburg, Virginia Selects Sunquest Laboratory Information System for its New Stafford Hospital Center

TUCSON, Ariz.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sunquest Information Systems, Inc., a market leader in laboratory information systems, today announced that MediCorp Health Systems has purchased the Sunquest Laboratory Information System (LIS) for its new Stafford Hospital scheduled to open in early 2009. MediCorp, through its Mary Washington Hospital, is the Fredericksburg area’s premier health care provider. Mary Washington Hospital has been a customer of Sunquest Laboratory software since 1991 and also uses Sunquest CoPathPlus anatomic pathology system. In order to maximize productivity between the two hospitals, Sunquest Laboratory software, servers, applications, and billing functions will be integrated and shared across the enterprise.
