PRSA Puget Sound Announces 2007 Award Winners

Pat Fearey Honored for Lifetime Achievement

SEATTLE--()--Well-known local public relations leader Pat Fearey led the list of honorees announced November 29, 2007, at the annual Holiday Gala of the Puget Sound Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA). Fearey was this year's recipient of the chapter's prestigious Jay Rockey Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her career achievements and outstanding professional ability and conduct.

Pat Fearey, chair and chief executive officer of the Fearey Group, is widely recognized as one of the top public relations professionals in the Puget Sound region. During a career spanning more than 35 years, Fearey has counseled clients on a range of highly visible and important real estate and development issues to Seattle and the region, including the redevelopment of the South Lake Union area. As the leader of a prominent public relations and public affairs firm, her list of clients has included the Boeing Realty Corporation, Port of Seattle, Vulcan and Quadrant Corporation. Fearey is also an active leader in the community, having served as President of PONCHO (Patrons of Northwest Civic, Cultural and Charitable Organizations), chair of the Community Development Roundtable, and co-chair of the Regional Leadership Conference. She currently serves on the executive committee of the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce.

Fearey joined four other PRSA Puget Sound chapter award recipients, including, Suzanne Hartman, APR, ABC, who was honored as the Public Relations Professional of the Year; Catherine Hinrichsen, APR, who received the Hugh Smith Community Service Award; Jeremy Glines, named New Member of the Year; and Erle Hannum who was selected to receive the President's Award for Volunteerism posthumously.
