Toshiba Announces 13.3-Inch Diagonal Widescreen Notebooks Available at Retail

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Toshiba’s Digital Products Division (DPD), a division of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc., today announced the Satellite^® U305 series — a new 13.3-inch diagonal widescreen notebook computer available at retail, offering consumers a high-performance mobile solution in a lightweight form factor.

Ideal for students and small business owners, the Satellite U305 series start at 4.6-pounds¹ and offer a variety of configurations and options to fit any budget and mobile computing needs. All units in the Satellite U305 series come standard with a DVD SuperMulti drive supporting 11 formats, enabling users to read and write on a variety of CD and DVD media.

The Satellite U305 series also features a built-in 1.3 megapixel Webcam and microphone, perfect for staying in touch with loved ones or video conferencing with colleagues across the globe.

The Satellite U305-S5127 incorporates the latest Intel^® Centrino^® Duo processor technology, which is made up of several high-end components, including the Intel Core 2 Duo Processor T7100², Mobile Intel^® 965 chipset and new Intel^® Wireless WiFi^® Link 4965AGN supporting draft 802.11n³ wireless⁴ connectivity, providing users with up to five times⁵ the throughput performance at up to twice the range of the standard 802.11g.
