EuroBiO 2007 and Business Wire Sign a Partnership Agreement
PARIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--EuroBiO 2007 and Business Wire have taken advantage of the BIO International Convention (BIO) in Boston to announce the signature of a partnership agreement between the world's news distribution leader and EuroBiO 2007, the European bioscience and bioindustry meeting due to take place in Lille, France, from September 26th - 28th 2007.
"Business Wire was the official wire for BIO in the USA, and so it made sense to adopt an identical approach here in Europe," explained Olivier Corneloup, Director of Business Wire France. "We had already sponsored last year's edition, and so the largest event in Europe for bioscience and the bioindustry is an excellent showcase, in terms of both its content and its exhibitors and visitors. We are delighted to be the official wire for EuroBiO 2007. Furthermore, this partnership gives greater visibility to exhibiting companies and institutions."
Business Wire's networks and experience will thus reinforce EuroBiO 2007's PR activities worldwide. This agreement will enable EuroBiO to promote European ambitions and objectives more widely and highlight the event's mission; thanks to its seminar program, business convention, career fair and trade exhibition, EuroBiO showcases Europe's key R&D players in an international setting. "By bringing together researchers, business developers, funding organizations, recruitment agencies and many other sector specialists, EuroBiO is clearly positioning itself to emulate the life science business and scientific community, for whom dialogue between stakeholders from different spheres is essential. Private-public partnerships and B-to-B alliances are fuelling the sector’s growth and influencing the success of innovative biotech projects," added Philippe Busquin, Chairman of EuroBiO 2007.
In 2007, EuroBiO will once again attract more than 200 internationally acknowledged speakers for forty seminar sessions organized into 4 tracks:
- The biotech economy and business development
- Red biotech
- White and green biotech
- Regulatory affairs / IP / tech transfer
EuroBiO also aims at promoting tech transfer and knowledge transfer, as illustrated by the exhibition and the EuroBiOpartnering business & tech transfer convention, which will respectively attract 350 exhibitors and 500 participants.
Another major issue at EuroBiO is how to detect and attract the skills and talents that the industry will need tomorrow. The EuroBiO Career Fair takes on a new look this year, with companies like GSK strongly involved in promoting skill sets and career opportunities in the biotech sector.
Over the three-day event, these four cornerstones will provide a comprehensive, operational overview of bioscience and the bioindustry for all biotech stakeholders, for whom constructive and high-quality dialogue and networking is time well spent.
Join us in Lille from September 26th-28th!

About EuroBiO 2007
Founded in 1997 on the initiative of the French Ministry of Research, the European Biotech Crossroads has succeeded in bringing together all the players in biotechnology: life science companies, start-up projects, students, researchers, private & public-sector research organizations, industry bodies, investors, consulting firms, multinationals from the biotech, pharmaceutical, diagnostics, agrifood & environmental sectors, local authorities, clusters, bioparks, bioincubators, public authorities and regulatory bodies.
In 2006 (and on the occasion of the event's 10th anniversary), the European Biotech Crossroads was renamed as EuroBiO. Organization of EuroBiO was attributed to (i) the city of Lille and the Eurasanté cluster for the 2007 edition and the odd-numbered years to come and (ii) Paris and its Regional Development Agency (ARD) for even-numbered years.
