NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--L-3 Communications (NYSE: LLL) announced today that it has named Susan D. Opp a Corporate Vice President and President of its Communication Systems-West (CS-West), division. Ms. Opp assumes the role previously held by Curtis Brunson before his recent appointment to Senior Vice President – Corporate Strategy and Development. CS-West provides high-performance wideband communication systems for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and other government agencies.

In 1986, Ms. Opp began her career as an associate engineer with Sperry Univac and has held positions of increasing responsibility in engineering, product and business development, and program management at L-3’s CS-West division. Her most recent position was as Vice President of Strategic Development. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science Electrical Engineering from South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of Utah.
