The show is part of an all new interactive experience for the Globes and will be broadcast live on MSN on Monday January 15th 2007.
For the first time in the history of the Golden Globes, viewers will be able to enhance their viewing of the televised show through a dedicated online experience. As the night unfolds the online project will take the audience into exclusive areas of the prestigious event. This red carpet programming is an entirely new way of experiencing the Golden Globes and is designed to capitalize on the multi-platform media habits of today’s sophisticated audiences.
The project was conceived exclusively for Citi by MEC Entertainment through their relationship with dick clark productions, and in collaboration with MSN. dick clark productions will be producing the programming and MSN will be showcasing it online. The site launched with the announcement of nominations in mid-December and is currently being promoted across many MSN properties.
The online program will go live from the Red Carpet at 7pm EST on MSN. Elements will also include exclusive access backstage such as a dedicated “online” feed from press room and one-on-one live interviews of the evening’s winners in real time.
