AmLaw Tech Survey Names Kroll Ontrack Leading Electronic Discovery Vendor for Fifth Consecutive Year

Top American Law Firms Rank Company as Their Preferred Electronic Discovery Services Provider

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Kroll Ontrack, a provider of data recovery, electronic discovery and computer forensics services, today announced that it was recognized as the most used electronic discovery provider in Law Firm Inc.’s 11^th Annual AmLaw Tech Survey. The survey reveals trends in technology use as well as products and services that are most popular among the country’s largest law firms. Since the survey began asking firms to name their preferred electronic discovery vendor five years ago, Kroll Ontrack has won this honor.

Of the 118 firms surveyed in the e-discovery category, 77 or 65 percent of the respondents identified Kroll Ontrack as their electronic discovery provider of choice. This is an increase from last year; Kroll Ontrack rose from 60 percent in 2005, 50 percent in 2004 and 31 percent in 2003. Moreover, 34 percent of responding firms preferred Kroll Ontrack to the second place vendor.
