Union negotiators have assembled here for contract talks that are scheduled to begin tomorrow. Jim Robinson, Director of District 7, is the USW's lead negotiator. The USW bargaining committee includes USW International Vice President Fred Redmond, District 12 Director Terry Bonds, District 9 Director Connie Entrekin, District 9 Sub-Director John Herron, District 13 Assistant Director John Patrick and local union presidents from all Alcoa Master locations.
“We know that health care is a big issue, for both active workers and retirees. Our slogan is to 'Leave no one behind.' We will not stand for second class citizens in our workplace or in retirement.”
"Alcoa is making record profits," Robinson said. "We believe that our members have contributed significantly to those profits and we want a contract that provides for the economic security of our members and retirees."

The Alcoa Master Agreement locations are Warrick and Lafayette, Ind.; Badin, N.C.; Richmond, Va.; Massena, N.Y.; Bauxite, Hot Springs and Gum Springs, Ark.; Wenatchee, Wash.; Davenport, Iowa; Louisville, Ky.; Alcoa, Tenn.; Point Comfort and Rockdale, Texas.
