Titles revealed for the HD DVD U.S. launch include key fourth quarter 2005 blockbusters Batman Begins, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Dukes of Hazzard as well as classics from the extensive Warner Home Video library such as The Matrix, Twister and Terminator 3: Rise of The Machines. Select films, such as Rumor Has It and Syriana, will be released simultaneously on HD DVD and standard DVD. For a complete list of planned HD DVD titles and street dates, please see below.
WHV title support for HD DVD will continue throughout 2006, with new theatrical releases such as Superman Returns and Poseidon being introduced simultaneously on standard DVD and HD DVD formats. Additional releases from the catalog will be introduced throughout the balance of 2006, including both theatrical and TV products. HBO Video, distributor of critically-acclaimed television series, films and theatrical features, also plans to issue releases on HD DVD through Warner Home Video, its distribution partner.

Today, the vast Warner Bros. library, considered one of the most prestigious and prodigious in the world, consists of more than 6,600 feature films, 40,000 television titles and 14,000 animated titles (including over 1,500 classic animated shorts). The library currently consists of films from such distinguished banners as Warner Bros. Pictures, Castle Rock, Warner Independent Pictures, Lorimar Pictures, RKO and classic MGM (pre-1986).
