2005 Dottie Award Winners Announced

SACRAMENTO, Calif.--()--March 11, 2005--Last night at downtown Sacramento's Crest Theatre, Northern Californians competed for Dottie Awards -- www.thedotties.com, the region's most sought after award for outstanding Web sites -- during a very entertaining program that included live music and African style dance, as well as TiVo and iPod giveaways.

Over the course of the evening, the most spectacular Web sites in Northern California were honored for their design, content, resources and interactivity in each of the Dottie Awards' 16 categories.

In addition, Flourish received Top Dot honors and a $3,500 advertising package from Sacramento's KXJZ, while Sherries Berries -- www.berries.com -- took home the People's Choice award.

More than 35 judges reviewed each of the more than 200 sites that were nominated this year and based on those scores, 61 finalists were named. A separate panel of esteemed judges, provided by TechCoire and the American Marketing Association Sacramento Valley, then selected the winner in each category.

The selected judges are independent industry experts with substantial expertise in their given fields. They brought their creative spirit and vast experience to the challenging task of choosing the Dottie Award winners.
