These corporate giants will be outlining how they are already incorporating nanotechnology into their products as well as addressing the obstacles that still exist to their future profitable incorporation at the World Nano-Economic Congress (WNEC) Ireland (Dublin, April 20th and 21st).
“much of that revenue coming from unexpected quarters. At the WNEC in Dublin we will get to hear from leading companies on how this is being accomplished today.”
"Despite the five years of hype surrounding nanotechnology, there are an increasing number of real companies generating real revenues," explained Cientifica CEO Tim Harper, "much of that revenue coming from unexpected quarters. At the WNEC in Dublin we will get to hear from leading companies on how this is being accomplished today."
Among the existing real world applications under examination will be Drug Delivery (Elan Corporation), Data Storage (Seagate), Semiconductors (Intel), and Plastics (Elementis Specialties). Over the course of the event, these and more than 40 other speakers will also detail the potential applications where the greatest future impacts will occur."
These blue chips will provide their perspective on the nanotechnologies they are already integrating into their products, as well as indicating the research that appears the most promising for further investment, leading ultimately to new and improved products.
The World Nano-Economic Congress (WNEC) Ireland is jointly produced by Cientifica http://www.cientifica.com and the Irish Nanotechnology Association http://nanotechireland.com/ (a part of Enterprise Ireland).
