"Our financial results in 2004 are a reflection of the shared commitment from every employee at MicroDental to lead the cosmetic dentistry industry," said Fred Walke, CEO, MicroDental Laboratories. "Everyone at MicroDental is enthusiastic about what we do, from giving people the healthiest most beautiful smiles possible, to creating the world's best cosmetic dental products, providing our dentist partners with full-practice support and to advancing the profession of cosmetic dentistry as a whole."
Other 2004 highlights
In 2004, MicroDental added to its steadily growing patent portfolio. With concentrated R&D efforts in the area of metal-free restorations, the company created new techniques for Zirconia reinforced restorations. Its revolutionary Pressed to Zirconia (P2Z) product was awarded a patent for lingually reinforced bridges. This type of restoration is the ultimate aesthetic solution, bridging beauty and function. The strength of the material is unprecedented and the look is completely natural. MicroDental has long been regarded as a pace-setter for innovation in dental products, materials and techniques. The laboratory's industry-leading research and development program has contributed to numerous advancements in technology and materials and has earned the company numerous patents.
2004 Industry Awards
MicroDental Laboratories was recognized by the dental industry with the following 2004 awards:
-- AACD People's Choice award from the annual American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD) meeting for its work with Michael Reece, D.D.S. Because the winner is selected by AACD members, Peoples' Choice recognition is the industry's most coveted award.
-- Crown Council Qualified Laboratory. For investing in state-of-the-art quality assurance systems and developing stringent operating criteria, MicroDental was the first laboratory recognized with this prestigious qualification.
