Parker Brothers' Launches Entirely New Game Experience; SHOUT ABOUT MOVIES Provides Immediate and Explosive Fun for Every Film Fan

EAST LONGMEADOW, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 2004--"Insert, Play, Shout!" Those are the instructions to the new SHOUT ABOUT MOVIES game from Parker Brothers, a division of Hasbro, Inc. (NYSE:HAS) that is shaking up the game industry. More than a game, SHOUT ABOUT MOVIES is a whole new game experience that introduces the concept of the Game Video Disc, or GVD. GVDs offer instant, explosive fun, without the need for dice, pawns or a game board. All that's needed to play is a television and a DVD player. Popcorn sold separately.

For fans of every movie genre - from action to drama, comedy to horror, animation to mystery - SHOUT ABOUT MOVIES is the first-ever GVD that challenges player's film knowledge through video and audio clips from more than 60 years of the most unforgettable and award-winning movies. And with SHOUT ABOUT MOVIES, Hasbro Games has formed a unique affiliation with the Motion Picture and Television Fund (MPTF), a national charitable organization and the copyrights holder of the game.

SHOUT ABOUT MOVIES invites 4 to 40 players to compete in teams in a race to identify famous quotes, scenes and characters from major motion pictures. The game features "Shout Rounds," where players yell out answers and "Whisper Rounds," where teams huddle secretly to discuss strategies before giving an answer. Keeping players on the edge of their seats, the winner isn't revealed until the last second in the final round. Scoring is calculated on screen using the remote control from a DVD player.

Movie fans won't have to venture outside of their favorite aisle; SHOUT ABOUT MOVIES will be available in the DVD aisle, as well as the game section, for the approximate retail price of $19.99.
