Digital Chocolate, Inc., a developer of innovative software for mobile phones founded by software pioneer Trip Hawkins, and Cingular Wireless have joined forces to offer consumers the next generation of mobile entertainment applications beginning in January 2005 with the launch of Digital Chocolate's NCAA Hoops 2005. Distributed through Cingular's MEdia platform, NCAA Hoops 2005 will allow avid NCAA basketball fans to experience the true excitement and rivalry of college basketball directly on their mobile phones. Users can pick from a variety of teams, and through a unique community feature, push their favorite team to the top of the Community Leaderboard by voting each time they play.

Cingular MEdia is Cingular Wireless' umbrella name for its extensive suite of data products and services including games, personal applications, as well as alerts, messaging browsing and other downloadable applications. NCAA Hoops 2005 was developed specifically for the mobile medium, making it simple for Cingular customers to access and play directly from their wireless phones.
