Neven Vision's Facial Recognition, Tracking and Detection Software for TI DSPs Opens the Door to Wireless, Security and Imaging Markets

LOS ANGELES--()--June 24, 2004--Neven Vision, developer of the world's leading facial recognition, tracking and detection software, has joined the Texas Instruments (TI) Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Third Party Network. Neven Vision's software -- which runs on digital imaging hardware such as digital and closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras -- is now available to consumer electronics and security companies whose products run on the TMS320C6000(TM) and TMS320C5000(TM) DSP platforms.

Neven Vision has created facial analysis software compact enough to run on DSP-based portable applications. The company has made a number of new machine vision applications possible, including wireless video messaging services that track a sender's changing expressions and overlay them with special effects. It also enables consumer electronics companies to use facial recognition to lock and unlock computers and camera phones. In security environments, Neven Vision's software can be used to validate passenger identities at airports, or to provide secure physical and information access control.
