Trans Healthcare Names W. Bradley Bennett President and Chief Executive Officer and Thomas W. Erickson Named Chairman of the Board

SPARKS, Md.--()--June 2, 2004--Trans Healthcare, Inc. ("THI"), a GTCR portfolio company, announced today that W. Bradley Bennett will assume the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. In addition, Thomas W. Erickson has been appointed Chairman of the Board of Directors. Anthony F. Misitano, the former Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer has resigned to pursue other opportunities. Mr. Misitano has agreed to remain as a Senior Advisor to the Company.

Mr. Bennett has been Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Trans Healthcare, Inc. since September 2003. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Bennett served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Integrated Health Services, Inc. ("IHS") having been appointed to that position by the restructuring firm of Alvarez and Marsal in 2001. From 1991 to 2001, Mr. Bennett served various roles for IHS, including Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of IHS's $2.4 billion Long Term Care Division, as well as, Chief Accounting Officer of the $3.6 billion parent company.

Prior to joining IHS in 1991, Mr. Bennett worked in the Baltimore office of KPMG.

Mr. Bennett is a 1987 Summa Cum Laude graduate of Loyola College in Maryland. While at Loyola, he received the Whelan Medal for highest average in all majors, the Lybrand Medal for the highest average by an accounting major and the Sellinger School of Business Board of Sponsors Award. Mr. Bennett is a 1988 CPA in the State of Maryland.

Mr. Erickson is Chairman of the Board and Interim Chief Executive Officer of LifeCare Hospitals, Inc. He was Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Luminex Corporation (NASDAQ:LMNX) from September 2002 to May 2004. Mr. Erickson is currently on the Board of Directors of Luminex and serves as the Chairman of its Executive Committee. He was Interim President and Chief Executive Officer and a management consultant to Omega Healthcare Investors, Inc. (NYSE:OHI) from 2000 to 2002, President and Chief Executive Officer for CareSelect Group, Inc. from 1994 to 2001, and President and Chief Executive Officer of ECG Ventures, Inc. from 1987 to present. Earlier in his career, Mr. Erickson held several management positions at American Hospital Supply Corporation. Mr. Erickson received a B.B.A. from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.
