NanoBusiness Alliance and workingin-nanotechnology.com Join to Advance Nanotech Career Opportunities

NanoBusiness 2004
NEW YORK--()--May 19, 2004--NanoBusiness Alliance, the leading nanotechnology trade association (www.nanobusiness.org), today announced that it has entered into a strategic partnership with workingin-nanotechnology.com, the global resource for nanotechnology jobs, education and training (www.workingin-nanotechnology.com). NanoBusiness Alliance and workingin-nanotechnology.com will jointly develop a career portal on the NanoBusiness Alliance website and explore joint marketing, education and training opportunities.

Under the terms of the agreement, NanoBusiness Alliance will become a Silver Partner of the site, creating a value-added benefit to Alliance members. NanoBusiness Alliance members will receive special discounted rates for job postings on Workingin-Nanotechnology. The two organizations also will work together to develop surveys and workforce studies, symposia, training materials, seminars and webinars, and education initiatives.

“We have tapped into the international skillbase of scientists interested in working in nanotechnology and able to relocate for the right opportunity”

"Nanotechnology is creating a new, diverse workforce," said Nathan Tinker, executive vice president of the NanoBusiness Alliance. "On the one hand, there is a need for highly educated scientists, while on the other there is need for qualified technicians. Employers are finding it difficult to find nanotech workers with both education and commercial experience. workingin-nanotechnology.com is developing the most complete career portal available for nanotechnology, and by doing so, offering both employers and job seekers the best opportunity to find the right match."

"We have tapped into the international skillbase of scientists interested in working in nanotechnology and able to relocate for the right opportunity," said Nic Mortland, vice president of workingin-nanotechnology.com. "By acting as the global community hub for nanotech jobs, education and training, we are able to put skilled scientist, researchers and technicians in front of nanotech organizations, making it easier for them to find the opportunities they are looking for. It's great to be involved with The NanoBusiness Alliance, a key nanotech association, which provides its members with a host of valuable services -- including a comprehensive nanotech recruitment solution in our site."

NanoBusiness Alliance and workingin-nanotechnology.com plan to have the web portal up and running within a few weeks.
