MS Logistics Goes Live with Delfour Software Platform Supporting ``Crisis Management'' 3PL/3PF Operations

INDIANAPOLIS--()--Feb. 24, 2004--MS Logistics LLC (MSL), a third party logistics and packaging fulfillment company that specializes in value-added services for automotive, publishing and other products under stringent time constraints, has commenced operations on the SmartEnterprise2 3PL/3PF software platform from Delfour Corporation, replacing the custom-coded system with which the company began operations last year, it was announced today by Partners Jeremy Bunce and Michael Bielefeld and Joe Couto, president of Delfour Corporation, Markham, Ontario.

The Delfour software suite in use at MS Logistics includes WarehouseLogic 2 and several companion modules: the e-Vista supply chain visibility tool, the Active Desktop graphical user interface control panel and d'Amigo, Delfour's proprietary data mining and reporting tool. WarehouseLogic enables organizations to manage billing, receiving, stock locating, storage, order verification, order packing and shipment of products concurrently in complex distribution and fulfillment environments. The system is hosted at Delfour's Markham, Ontario data center.

"WarehouseLogic is an extremely robust warehouse management system with exceptional ability to handle bills of materials for our customers," Bielefeld said. "It also has outstanding workflow features that guide our workers through the entire distribution process and time stamps events in the warehouse when they occur, allowing for tight control of our operations and labor."

e-Vista, he added, is an extremely valuable tool, "... not only because it allows customers to see their inventory, but also in terms of aesthetics, the professional image it brings to the company."

MS Logistics occupies some 85,000 square feet of warehouse space on a permanent basis, with the flexibility to expand into as much additional space as needed to accommodate specific project requirements. As supply chain specialists, MSL provides a range of services including pick, pack and fulfillment, just-in-time sequencing, test market rollout coordination, storage and distribution, and EDI radio frequency inventory management.

Packaging capabilities include shrink wrapping, blister packs, club packing, bagging and sorting. Value-added services include kit assembly, point-of-sale displays, stickers/labeling, reworking/repackaging, light manufacturing, subassembly/reverse assembly, washing/degreasing and quality verification. Contract labor arrangements enable the company to offer 24/7 operations and 24-hour emergency and crisis project management.

"As a new company, MS Logistics opted for Delfour's ASP solution," Couto said. "It was an excellent decision since it freed the company of responsibility for the system as well as from the need for staff to operate and maintain it. Delfour has offered hosting and ASP alternatives to on-site installations for more than eight years."
