Ride the 'Middle-Earth Shuttle'! New Line Home Entertainment Inaugurates Other-Worldly Grand Central Station-Times Square Shuttle

Heralds Nov. 18th Release of the Special Extended Edition of "The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers" Ride With Gollum! Stand Tall With The Ents!

WHO:    Gollum, Ents, and Lord of the Rings decorations greet New York
        City commuters.

WHAT:   To celebrate the November 18th DVD and VHS release of the
        Special Extended Edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Two
        Towers, NYC commuters are invited to ride the "Middle-earth
        Shuttle" (otherwise known as the Times Square-Grand Central
        Shuttle).

        The Shuttle train's cars--replete with Middle-earth creatures,
        vines, moss and stones--will carry commuters between both
        stops from 11:30AM-1:30PM. Brave travelers will have the
        opportunity to explore the Middle-earth-themed subway station,
        accompany Gollum back and forth, stand tall with 12-foot-high
        living Ents, and much more!

        The Special Extended Edition of The Lord of the Rings: The Two
        Towers features approximately forty-three minutes of
        never-before-seen footage from the second installment of the
        Academy Award(R)-winning worldwide phenomenon, with additional
        material woven into the original theatrically released version
        of the film. The four-disc DVD Special Extended Edition also
        includes two discs containing upwards of six hours of
        supplemental material, presented via multiple platform
        navigation systems. Available as either two VHS cassettes or
        four DVDs, the Special Extended Edition of The Lord of the
        Rings: The Two Towers, is priced to own at $24.99 on VHS and
        $39.99 on DVD.

        Media are also invited to cover the decoration of the train
        car and subway stations on Monday, November 17th, beginning at
        9:00PM.
