The Moviso prepaid ringtone cards are available today at more than 590 Best Buy stores nationwide, and are compatible with two major handset brands, Nokia and Motorola. Additional handset support for prepaid cards sold at Best Buy will include Samsung and Sanyo early next year.
“The cards provide a great revenue source for our retailer, carrier, and entertainment partners, and it makes perfect sense to distribute them through a store that attracts customers looking for the latest technology for their mobile phones.”
The prepaid ringtone cards are available alongside other wireless accessories at Best Buy stores. Moviso's prepaid ringtone cards let consumers personalize their mobile phones to ring with favorite songs and, unlike ringtones purchased on the Internet or via telephone, do not require a credit card or charges to the phone bill to purchase. Since Moviso introduced the product last year, the company has distributed more than one million ringtone cards.
"Making our prepaid ringtone cards available through Best Buy stores is a natural fit, as Best Buy sells the most advanced technology and entertainment-focused products available," said Shawn Conahan, Moviso president. "The cards provide a great revenue source for our retailer, carrier, and entertainment partners, and it makes perfect sense to distribute them through a store that attracts customers looking for the latest technology for their mobile phones."
Moviso partnered with InComm, the leader in prepaid wireless programs, to distribute the cards at Best Buy locations nationwide. With its mobile content platform connected into the InComm FastCard Point of Sale (POS) activation system, Moviso has been able to tap into a leading retailer for fast, secure and easy card activation.
Easy Access to the Hottest Mobile Content Available
Moviso's prepaid ringtone card includes licensed content from Rock, Hip-Hop and R&B artists. Each prepaid card purchase offers consumers five ringtones, which they can select from a catalog containing thousands of ringtone titles.
Each prepaid ringtone card is activated immediately upon purchase and contains simple instructions and a unique PIN for accessing content. Customers call a 1-800 number from the cell phone, or visit the Nokia and Motorola download sites at http://www.nokiamusic.yourmobile.com or http://www.motorola.yourmobile.com, enter the PIN and select the content they wish to download.
