Mobliss Brings Groundbreaking Mobile Marketing Technology to Cokemusic.com Fall 2003 Promotion

SEATTLE--()--Oct. 21, 2003--

Cokemusic.com Integrates First-Ever Cross-Carrier SMS Technology into "Decibel Central" Promotion to Bring Added Convenience to Consumers

“We listened to our consumers. With this new SMS component, teens have a more convenient way to enter cap codes from specially marked packages. We want to provide as many ways as possible for our consumers to participate in Cokemusic.com”

Tapping into teens through their most-loved accessory, their cell phones, Mobliss has brought two-way wireless text messaging to Cokemusic.com's Fall 2003 under-the-cap "Decibel Central" promotion. This new technology allows Coca-Cola consumers in the U.S. to redeem cap codes from 20-oz. bottles via Short Message Service (SMS) enabled mobile phones, representing the first time that cross-carrier wireless text messaging has been used in a national consumer promotion in the U.S.

The SMS component of Cokemusic.com's promotion, launched on September 30, is open to all consumers with wireless service through any of seven leading wireless carriers (ALLTEL, AT&T Wireless, Cingular Wireless, Cricket Communications, Nextel Communications, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless). Participants can enter cap codes using their mobile phones to accrue points, or 'Decibels,' in their Decibel Central account on Cokemusic.com. Consumers build their virtual account of 'Decibels' by submitting unique cap codes from millions of specially marked bottles to the common short code '2653' (COKE) via their mobile phones. They can then visit Cokemusic.com to enter for chances to win one of thousands of prizes.

"We listened to our consumers. With this new SMS component, teens have a more convenient way to enter cap codes from specially marked packages. We want to provide as many ways as possible for our consumers to participate in Cokemusic.com," said Doug Rollins, associate brand manager, Coca-Cola Trademark.

Rouben Haroutoonian, Vice President of Sales and Client Services for Mobliss says: "This innovation allows the consumer to communicate instantaneously with the brand directly from the point of sale. While drinking their Cokes, consumers can immediately participate in the program by redeeming cap codes on-the-go via their mobile phones, with no need to save bottle caps."

The Cokemusic.com Fall 2003 Decibel Central promotion will run through December 31, 2003.
