Lawhorne, a 30-year industry veteran with a proven track record for rapidly growing sales at technology firms, joins LogRhythm’s executive management team to help the company reach the next level in its corporate development. At network security vendor TippingPoint Technologies, Lawhorne led the company’s sales growth from $3 million to over $90 million for hardware, professional services, and support in just four years.

Lawhorne brings over 30 years of technology industry sales and management experience to LogRhythm. As vice president of North America sales for intrusion prevention system (IPS) vendor TippingPoint Technologies, he played a key role in the company’s rapid growth, including the addition of 3,600 new customers and 39 companies on the Fortune 100 list. Prior to TippingPoint Technologies, Preston was area vice president at Network Associates (now McAfee), where he led a team of 68 people in eight regions. Lawhorne has also held sales management and sales positions with Uplogix, Oracle Corporation, Memorex Telex Corporation, Stratus Computer, and Data General. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Education from Lynchburg College.
