University of Chicago to Issue Forecast for 2010 Economy

--()--WHAT: Economists from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business will make predictions for the economy in 2010, including unemployment, consumer spending, and credit availability at the school’s annual business forecast lunch.

WHEN: Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 12:00 p.m.

WHO: Forecasters at this year’s event are:

  • Randall Kroszner, a Chicago Booth professor of economics who was a governor of the Federal Reserve Board from March 2006 to January 2009.
  • Erik Hurst, a professor of economics at Chicago Booth who studies household financial behavior, home prices and other macroeconomic issues.
  • Marvin Zonis, a professor emeritus and leading commentator on the global political economy.
