Freshwater Technologies Water Activation Significantly Improves Vegetable Crop Growth

CHICAGO--()--Freshwater Technologies Inc. (OTCBB:FWTC) is pleased to announce that Freshwater’s proven water activation technology can significantly improve the greenhouse germination of tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, cucumbers and beans. When water activation is introduced into the germination process, within 12 hours, there is increased growth stimulation and faster seed germination. Water activation reduces the surface tension of treated water and, more importantly, decreases the size of water molecules. The result: more effective penetration of plant cells allowing greater delivery of fundamental plant nutrients such as iron, manganese, calcium, magnesium and copper and better root absorption of vital plant nutrients and moisture. Greenhouse cultivation of vegetable crops such as tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and lettuce allow for year round crop production and provides a highly controlled environment for maximum lighting, moisture and humidity growing conditions. Compared with traditional field crop practices, greenhouse methods produce a greater yield, quality and commercial value when compared with field crops which often have a limited growing season due to weather conditions.

Other water activation testing programs with soybeans, onions and pea beans have demonstrated superior root growth, faster growth cycles and size of produce when compared with a comparable sized sample of crops using untreated, regular tap water. Freshwater Technologies is engaged in ongoing scientific lab testing of water activation of vegetable crops and believes that agriculture greenhouse applications will provide a significant new marketing opportunity to complement the Company’s existing business. We currently provide improved heating and cooling efficiencies for boilers and refrigeration equipment. Water activation effectively reduces rust, scale and corrosion in such hydraulic systems improving energy efficiency as a result of removing mineral encrustations traditionally removed by regular harsh chemicals treatment.
