PALO ALTO, Calif.--()--HP announces it will present the first “Meet the Experts” free online chat event March 16.
Four of HP’s wireless network printing experts will be available to answer questions and give tips on how to navigate the world of network printing.
Topics that may be covered in this real-time chat event include:
- urban myths on the best ways to secure wireless networks;
- common pitfalls such as poor wireless connections and firewall interference;
- embedded web servers, when and when not to use them; and
- the pros and cons of “ad hoc” versus “infrastructure” networks.
Event details
The free online chat will take place on March 16 from 3:30 to 4:30 pm PT. While anyone can attend this real-time chat event without signing up in advance, only members of the HP Support Forums may ask questions. Signing up is easy and only takes a few moments. After signing up, users can post questions and give answers on the Forums.
For those that cannot make it to the chat event, a transcript of the event will be posted on the Printing and All-in-Ones board.
Meet the experts
- Craig has been with HP for more than 20 years and has focused on printers for 17 of those years. He is a Distinguished Technologist at HP and has a great deal of experience setting up networks and printers. He is also the “go-to guy” for solving software printing issues.
- David has been with HP’s printing group for 15 years. As both a software and firmware manager, he has a lot of history with HP’s wireless printers. He’s followed the developments in wireless technology closely and is focused on understanding the challenges customers face and helping solve them. His blog is Network Inkjets from the Inside.
- Cameron has been with HP for 27 years. He’s worked on everything from faxes to printers. He is the lead for Customer Satisfaction Connectivity and has vast experience in troubleshooting many common network issues.
- Jim has been at HP for 20 years. He focuses on Wi-Fi technology and is an architect and technical lead for 802.11. He specializes in setting up, troubleshooting and fine-tuning Wi-Fi networks.
