Diane Souza Named President of OptumHealth Specialty Benefits

GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--OptumHealth Inc. today announced that it has named Diane Souza president of OptumHealth Specialty Benefits, which provides dental, vision, life, disability and stop-loss benefits to more than 75,000 employers. Unique from its competitors, OptumHealth Specialty Benefits can package its solutions to provide a greater range of benefits to individuals, while reducing costs for employers and public sector organizations.

Souza joined Specialty Benefits in May as chief operating officer to lead its products, operations and technology areas. As president, she is now also responsible for the overall growth and strategic direction of the business, while overseeing sales, finance and marketing.

Prior to joining OptumHealth Specialty Benefits, Souza held senior leadership positions of increasing responsibility at Aetna including health care operations, finance and strategic business transformation. She is a CPA and has been a principal consultant to a number of large organizations, helping them manage their performance, while improving delivery of products, services and technology.
