This year’s honoree will be Doctor Julie Louise Gerberding, the Director of the Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Past recipients of this prestigious award include President William J. Clinton and Dr. Peter Piot, Under Secretary General of the United Nations and Executive Director of UNAIDS.
