CHESTERFIELD, Mo.--()--Unibased Systems Architecture, Inc. has created and now offers a healthcare consumer sensitive web-based application integrated with its award winning enterprise-wide access management and scheduling products. The new product, Consumer Access and Scheduling for Healthcare (CASH) will be linked to USA’s Resources Management System (RMS) or may be linked to any enterprise-based access management system. The CASH design incorporates Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) privacy and security, as well as sensitivity to the needs of the healthcare consumer.
According to John Dickens, USA’s team leader for web-based applications, “The keys were to provide the patient with the utmost flexibility and clinical assistance to schedule services at the most convenient locations within the provider enterprise, while ensuring that economic and demographic data is current. CASH is designed to meet the needs of patients with busy lifestyles. Of course, the process is password protected, and clinical question “walk-throughs”, similar to the RMS triage, are included. The patient can schedule single or multiple procedures without fear of conflicts and clinical warnings as appropriate. Confirmations are automatically handled through normal e-mail and/or automatic voice messaging. A nice feature is that, if the physician’s order has not been presented at the time of confirmation, the patient is automatically reminded to bring the order with them or to contact their physicians. We expect that our client’s patient satisfaction scores will improve, and the current workload at the physician offices and in access management and call center scheduling will be reduced. We supplement these features with side-bar components, such as physician referral tracking, and of course, complete facility control of available procedures.”
