BERWYN, Pa.--()--Vertex Inc., the leading provider of tax technology solutions, has been selected to present as a thought leader on tax calculation technology at the Equipment Leasing and Finance Association (ELFA) Tax Professionals Roundtable, being held June 9-11 at the Hyatt Harborside in Boston. Wayne Robinson, Solutions Manager at Vertex and Chris Zangrilli, Senior Enterprise Architect at Vertex, will host the session titled “Trends in Tax Calculation Technology” on Monday, June 9 from 3:45 p.m. to 4:45 p.m.
The presentation will review how businesses in the equipment leasing and finance industry can centralize and simplify sales tax processing by implementing a common architecture for all transaction-based tax calculations. They will demonstrate how the latest generation of technology, including object-oriented techniques and Web tools like Java, HTML, XML, and SOAP, have provided tax professionals with more efficient ways to manage transaction tax processes, reduce the cost of compliance and achieve tax savings.
The ELFA Tax Professionals Roundtable is designed to update tax professionals in the leasing arena on current tax issues and challenges in Federal Income Tax, State Income Tax, Property Tax, and Sales and Use Tax, and will introduce trends and advancements in technology that are simplifying tax calculation. Attendees at the Tax Professionals Roundtable are eligible to receive five Ethics and 14 Taxation continuing professional education (CPE) credit hours.
