Bostwick Laboratories® Announces the Appointment of Dr. Evan Farmer, M.D. as Medical Director of Dermatocor™

GLEN ALLEN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Bostwick Laboratories® announces the appointment of Dr. Evan Farmer, M.D. as Medical Director of Dermatocor™ at its corporate headquarters in Glen Allen, VA. Dermatocor, a division of Bostwick Laboratories®, focuses on the diagnosis of skin disorders. Dr. Farmer is an internationally recognized dermatopathologist who brings veteran leadership to Dermatocor™.

Prior to his appointment at Bostwick Laboratories®, Dr. Farmer held previous positions as Dean and Provost of Eastern Virginia Medical School and Chairman of the Department of Dermatology at Indiana University. He maintains a part time faculty member position at both Johns Hopkins University and Virginia Commonwealth University. He is currently the Vice President elect of the American Academy of Dermatology, an organization that has over 16,000 members.

Dr. Farmer is board certified in dermatopathology and dermatology and received his M.D. from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his residency at Johns Hopkins University and was the Osborne Fellow at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology.
