2008 Frost & Sullivan European Advanced Imaging Informatics Product Innovation Award Conferred on Visage Imaging, Inc.
LONDON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The 2008 Frost & Sullivan European Advanced Imaging Informatics Product Innovation Award is conferred on Visage Imaging, Inc. for designing a thin-client server-based 3-D processing cardiac solution – the Visage CS Thin Client/Server platform. This product supports effective and unique cardiac analysis applications by implementing role-specific, user-friendly tools that tackle pre-clinical and pharmaceutical markets’ imaging constraints.
“Visage CS is based entirely on the concept of Thin Client software for computational as well as high-end visualisation, wherein interactively generated screen image volumes are streamed intelligently from server to the client,” notes Frost & Sullivan Research Analyst Prasanna Vadhana Kannan. “Fully scalable options corresponding to 3D concurrent users and the considerable storage size of Visage CS makes it the only true enterprise-wide image management and advanced visualisation platform.”
The Visage CS Cardiac Analysis concept is an intrinsic constituent of the Visage Thin Client platform, which allows image viewing and distribution together with unconventional visualisation in a separate and trouble-free front-end. Moreover, Visage CS Thin Client/Server endows the cardiac analysis module by relating to an entirely scalable PACS furnished with role-based, user-specific protocols, coupled with segmented platforms for image post-processing.
“Visage Imaging’s Cardiac CT Analysis application is designed for enterprise-wide workflow aimed at numerous concurrent 3D users that can be completely integrated into the 3D thin-client PACS workflow,” says Prasanna Kannan. “Further, this application shows superior performance in loading and processing large image volumes with a remote accessibility feature.”
The Cardiac Analysis option is based on open standards such as the off-the-shelf server, storage technology, and mainstream graphics processors. In addition to these design assets, the Visage CS Cardiac Analysis solution offers distinctive benefits such as simple positioning on existing hardware, elevated sharing of clinical and information technology resources, enriched service portfolio for referring physicians, in addition to optimisation of workflow time, and better surgical treatment planning.
“With an extensive platform of product offerings including the comprehensive Visage PACS solution for all hospitals and core expertise in delivering workflow and scalability, Visage Imaging is poised for a course of tremendous expansion in the dynamic clinical diagnostic imaging segment,” concludes Kannan.
The Frost & Sullivan Award for Product Innovation of the Year Award is presented each year to the company that has demonstrated excellence in new products and technologies within their industry.
