IRVINE, Calif.--()--Samsung Electronics America, Inc., a subsidiary of Samsung Electronics Corporation, a world-leading manufacturer of professional LCD and plasma display products, continues expansion of its award-winning line of SyncMaster displays with the 245T, a high-performance 24-inch LCD monitor. The commercial monitor, designed for a range of professional applications including desktop publishing, CAD and graphic design, is now shipping and available.
“By combining superior image technology with a widescreen and feature-rich design, Samsung has delivered an outstanding solution for even the most rigorous professional applications.”
The 245T monitor has a 24-inch, 16:10 wide-screen format, with a 178/178-degree viewing angle. The 245T monitor's PVA panel technology, ultra-wide viewing angles and widescreen format can support a range of multi-window applications in precise clarity, helping to improve work efficiency and reducing the need for multiple monitors.
Furthermore, the 245T model features a high 1920 x 1200 resolution, providing for clearer and more precise images and full HD 1080p. The 245T monitor's image quality is also enhanced by Samsung's MagicContrast which offers a super high contrast ratio and an extra-wide viewing angle that's ideal for providing detailed onscreen images. With the 1500:1 super-high dynamic contrast ratio, it's easy to read or view content on the monitor's screen. MagicSpectrum wide-color gamut technology provides previously unreachable colors, up to 97% of the NTSC color space, allowing deeper, richer color rendition and photorealistic imaging. The 245T model also comes equipped with MagicSpeed, which gives users an ultra-fast 6ms response time (gray to gray) and Motion Picture Acceleration (MPA) backlight scanning technology, making the monitor ideal for computer gaming and multimedia-driven applications such as motion or streaming video.
"Samsung is constantly striving to meet the demanding needs of professional users who require vivid and precise graphic quality and performance," said Young Bae, Senior Display Product Manager, Samsung Electronics America, Inc. "By combining superior image technology with a widescreen and feature-rich design, Samsung has delivered an outstanding solution for even the most rigorous professional applications."
Featuring a height adjustable stand with flexible pivot, tilt and swivel capabilities, as well as an integrated USB 2.0 hub (one up, four down), Samsung designed the 245T monitor to create a convenient, comfortable and highly-customizable user experience. The 245T model is further equipped with wall-mounting capabilities, offering professional users enhanced flexibility.
To aid in reduced power consumption, the 245T monitor employs Samsung's Digital Power Management Signaling (DPMS) mode to automatically assess whether the monitor is in use and switches it to stand-by mode, which uses less than two watts of power.
The 245T monitor, available with an MSRP of $799.99, comes in an attractive black cabinet. Furthermore, the model is HDTV-Ready, and capable of supporting High Definition resolutions including 1080p.
All Samsung displays are backed by a three-year limited warranty on labor and parts, including the backlight, as well as toll-free technical support for the life of the display.
