WHAT: UCLA Anderson School of Management will announce the 2006
finalists of the Gerald Loeb Awards for Distinguished
Business and Financial Journalism via a video link.
Judy D. Olian, dean of UCLA Anderson School of Management
and chairman of the G. and R. Loeb Foundation, will announce
this year's finalists in the print and broadcast competition
categories, including the new category for business books.
This year's finalists were chosen from among a record 395
entries.
The recipients of the 2006 Loeb Awards career honors, the
Lifetime Achievement Award and the Lawrence Minard Editor
Award, will also be revealed.
The Loeb Awards, the most prestigious awards in business
journalism, honor writers, editors and producers who make
significant contributions to the understanding of business,
finance and the economy.
