BioForce Nanosciences Announces Award from State of Iowa

AMES, Iowa--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 28, 2005--BioForce Nanosciences, Inc. announced today that the State of Iowa Department of Economic Development has approved an award to the company from the Community Economic Betterment Account (CEBA). BioForce was awarded $500,000 to support commercialization of its award-winning NanoArrayer(TM) technology for production of ultraminiaturized biomedical tests and devices. The Company Founder and CEO, Dr. Eric Henderson, said, "The Company's unique NanoArrayer System gives scientists a new and fundamental tool to enable further advances in nanotechnology. These funds will allow BioForce to create high value employment opportunities, and retain existing jobs at their facilities in Ames. Ames comes close to defining what State leaders tout as Iowa's "new economy" with emerging growth companies, stable government employers, and strong manufacturing companies.
