| Newest Version of SnagIt also Enables Users to Capture Audio, Video and Microsoft Office Documents from the Web |
“Many of our most loyal customers are accustomed to having SnagIt on their desktops so that it's available whenever they need it, and increasingly they've been asking us to bring that convenience and functionality to Firefox”
TechSmith Corp., the world's leading provider of screen capture and recording solutions, today announced the availability of SnagIt 7.2 in French and German. SnagIt now includes an extension for Mozilla's Firefox browser so that Mozilla's large European user community can enjoy the illustrative benefits of SnagIt screen captures right from the Firefox browser.
SnagIt's Firefox extension enables users to take screen captures of an entire scrolling window, Web page, region, or even text that can be edited. The screen captures can be sent to files, clipboards, printers, or e-mail.
"Many of our most loyal customers are accustomed to having SnagIt on their desktops so that it's available whenever they need it, and increasingly they've been asking us to bring that convenience and functionality to Firefox," said Tony Dunckel, SnagIt Product Manager at TechSmith. "Our support for Firefox, as well as the other enhancements we've added, are designed to provide all computer users with the tools they need to work faster, work smarter, and get more done."
Other new features in SnagIt 7.2 include:
-- Enhanced desktop integration -- users can now right click on any image and edit the image in the SnagIt Editor or instantly batch convert images from one format to another. Users have the option to set the SnagIt Editor as the default for any of the 23 file formats supported by SnagIt.
-- Expanded Web capture -- users can capture any graphic, audio or video file from the Internet, or use SnagIt's new Web filter to block captures from banner ads and specific domains.
-- Precision capture-to-print functionality -- users have one-touch options for repositioning a capture within the print layout for proper printing, and several scaling options that don't distort the aspect ratio.
