Alcoa Names Two to New Positions in China
"Both Randy and Bob possess strong capabilities that will enhance Alcoa's ability to execute its global growth strategy for China. Randy has broad experience involving strategic alliances and other corporate growth activities, and Bob brings extensive knowledge of rolled products from commercial foil to aerospace plate," said Alcoa Chairman and CEO Alain Belda.
Mr. Phillips joined Alcoa in 2003 as director of corporate development, following a distinguished 20 year career with TRW Inc., where he had been vice president of corporate development. His other assignments at TRW included deputy director of TRW Transportation & Support Systems and director of Strategic Development for the TRW Avionics & Surveillance Group.
Mr. Larson has 28 years experience with Alcoa, having served in positions of increasing responsibility in the communications, sales and marketing, and new product development areas. Most recently, he was vice president, Sales and Marketing for Alcoa's Mill Products business, which makes aluminum sheet and plate for customers in the aerospace, automotive, building and construction, and commercial transportation markets. He also has served as vice president, Sales and Marketing for Rigid Packaging, Alcoa's global can sheet business.
