AFL Automotive Enters Marine Market; Supports Engine Control Module Packages from EControls
EControls manufactures electronic engine control modules that control fuel injection and help engine original equipment manufacturers meet 2007 engine emissions standards without costly modifications. AFL Automotive compliments EControls' modules by utilizing automotive manufacturing processes to produce the wire harnesses used for installation.
AFL is currently providing wire harness drawings and advising EControls with electrical component selection for customers in the industrial and marine industries, where products are frequently tailored to individual customer needs.
AFL's DixieWire unit based in Schertz, TX provides tin coated copper wire in TXL and SXL specifications for the EControls marine program. Modular power distribution boxes from AFL's EPC components unit allow for increased electrical content in less packaging space.
"EControls provides engine control modules that deliver specific solutions to the special issues faced by engine OEMs. AFL is pleased to support EControls in bringing a complete package to the market," said John Jenkins, Vice President and General Manager - AFL Specialty Products Group.
AFL Automotive's Specialty Products Group based in San Antonio, TX focuses on the unique needs of the personal and commercial transportation markets. It is a full service designer and manufacturer of wire harnesses and electronic / electrical distribution systems for trucks, buses, recreational vehicles, and engines. Additionally, it offers instrumentation and modular assembly services. Please visit www.aflauto.com for more information.
