HAMILTON, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Axalta Coating Systems Bermuda Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that Robert M. McLaughlin has joined its Board of Directors and will serve as the Chair of the Audit Committee. Mr. McLaughlin brings extensive expertise in finance and accounting to the Board with particular experience in industrial companies.
Mr. McLaughlin is Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Airgas, Inc. (NYSE: ARG) and a member of its Management Committee. Airgas is one of the nation's leading suppliers of industrial, medical and specialty gases, and hardgoods, such as welding equipment and related products, with more than 15,000 employees and over $5 billion in annual revenues in calendar year 2013.

Prior to assuming his current position at Airgas on October 3, 2006, Mr. McLaughlin had served as Airgas’ Vice President and Controller since joining Airgas in 2001. Before joining Airgas, Mr. McLaughlin served as Vice President of Finance for Asbury Automotive Group, a multi-billion dollar automotive retailer. Previously, he served as Vice President of Finance and in other financial management roles with Unisource Worldwide, Inc., a multi-billion dollar international paper and industrial supply distribution company.
Mr. McLaughlin, a Certified Public Accountant, began his career with Ernst & Young in 1979. He earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Dayton.
