Neebo and Nebraska Book Company Announce That National Association of College Stores Signed Letter of Intent to Purchase Connect2One

LINCOLN, Neb.--()--Neebo Inc., the beneficial owner of Nebraska Book Company, today announced that the National Association of College Stores has signed a letter of intent to purchase the assets of Connect2One, a fully owned division of Nebraska Book Company.

Through this purchase, NACS will integrate Connect2One, the largest and most comprehensive buying group in the college store industry, with indiCo, a NACS subsidiary focused on retail innovation, merchandising strategy and data analytics. This strategic integration provides a new way for NACS to fulfill its mission to help independent college stores evolve and thrive.

“For 25 years, Connect2One has helped its more than 625 college store members fill their shelves with items that appeal to the college crowd,” said Steve Clemente, President and CEO of Neebo Inc. and Nebraska Book Company. “Our company shares a very important goal with NACS—the long-term success of independent college stores.”

Nebraska Book Company has provided more than 50 years of support for NACS and recently made a $200,000 donation to the NACS Foundation. This funding was used to create the NACS Leadership Institute to train future college store leaders.

“The alignment of Connect2One and indiCo demonstrates an exciting and renewed commitment by NACS and Nebraska Book Company to the independent college store,” said Brian Cartier, CEO of NACS. “We know that the expertise and reputation of Connect2One and its 25-year history of success will have a positive impact on college stores.”
